Transform the way you communicate

public Sector

Delivering effective communications whilst maintaining the integrity of sensitive information and the availability of critical systems is essential to the operational success of all public sector organisations.

Hybrid working is now commonplace, and this necessitates new IT infrastructure to ensure that contact can be assured, wherever teams are working from. There is also a frequent requirement for organisations to deliver complex, often multi-lingual communications, concisely and accurately, to both the public and employees. All of this must be disseminated in the most secure yet accessible way possible, without fail, every day of the year. Public sector institutions are under more budgetary pressure than ever before, yet still have to find ways to modernise out-dated legacy systems, secure data and protect against cyber-attacks.

It can often seem a daunting task to find a reliable IT infrastructure and digital communications supply partner that really understands these challenges. Here at Conceptunet we have over 25 years’ experience of delivering these services, including large scale, multi-sited IT infrastructure and digital communications rollouts. We are proud to be a trusted supplier to the NHS and have worked with our health sector clients for more than 10 years.

We provide secure, reliable, cost-effective and scalable technology solutions which offer seamless integration into the cloud for legacy systems. We also have a tried and tested range of digital hardware which includes cloud-based telephone systems, digital signage, video walls and noticeboards. We offer content management systems to enable messages and images to be changed in seconds, with demonstrable improvements in collaboration, communication, efficiency and productivity.

We deliver fully connected, secure, no fail, IT infrastructure support packages, with complete 24/7/365, out-of-hours on call back-up facility.

education

The education sector has its own particular requirements. The needs of the digital generation of students mean that reliable, high speed, safe and secure connectivity and access to interactive digital information is a must. It is an environment where multiple devices can be used at any moment in time, and they all need to be compatible with each other to allow for successful collaboration amongst students.

Keeping up to date with the pace of change in IT infrastructure and digital communications is a constant challenge for educational establishments of all sizes, especially as budgets are constantly under pressure. The recent shift towards hybrid learning means additional flexibility to support remote and home study is also required.

Conceptunet has decades of experience helping to address these challenges. We have worked on educational IT infrastructure projects for schools, colleges, universities and halls of residence. We understand the environment we are working in and always take site security very seriously. All of our installation staff have passed the relevant security checks and we can be very flexible with working hours to cause the minimum disruption to the school day.

nHS

In addition to the general requirements of public sector organisations, the NHS faces quite specific challenges. Every 36 hours the NHS deals with over a million patients. This means that communication requirements and Patient Facing Technologies (PFTs) are needed to provide reliable and secure information that is often complex, confidential and can be multilingual.

Much of the NHS still has at least some legacy IT infrastructure and hardware which may be struggling to cope with the demands of the digital age. The need to modernise this legacy infrastructure in the interest of reducing workloads, minimising stress and maximising patient safety is clear. However, budgets are tight, so any upgrades must deliver substantial improvements and demonstrate return on investment.

The Conceptunet team is fully aware of these challenges, and we work with our many clients in the NHS on a regular basis to overcome them. We install state of the art IT infrastructure and hardware from our vast range to facilitate communications including cloud-based telephone systems, way-finding digital signage and noticeboards. Our installation teams take into account all of the required hygiene and safety measures as well as site security and security clearance. We work flexible shifts to ensure that any disruption to staff or patients is absolutely minimal.

Prisons

Governing a large prison building or complex brings many challenges, not least how best to communicate with and monitor the activities of your staff, prisoners and other visitors in ways that are effective, accessible and secure.

The nature of the environment means prison-specific communication systems must comply with additional levels of legislation not seen in other areas of the public sector. There is often the need for digital communications that provide elevated levels of security and confidentiality, multilingual information, as well as important health and safety messaging. There can also be a requirement for areas of the prison to have monitoring devices such as CCTV and limited connectivity for security purposes.

Taking all of these requirements into account, Conceptunet can offer a bespoke service to ensure that the IT infrastructure and communications hardware installed in prisons and remand centres create a safe and secure environment across the entire site. Examples of the precautions include using robust metal trunking to enclose cable runs, ensuring all hardware is installed using security fixings and utilising an anti-ligature design whenever protective enclosures are required.

All our engineers are familiar with the security requirements to access secure units and have an inherent understanding of the need to operate in a manner which is empathetic to the environment, staff and residents.
