Univar Solutions is a distributor of chemistry and related products and services. The company employs over 10,000 people in more than 30 countries around the world. Keeping communications flowing in a complex organisation with a global workforce can be difficult.
The Challenge
When the Covid crisis came along, using traditional methods of communication, such as team huddles and printing multilingual posters for the notice boards, became impossible. This was especially true at chemical sites and in warehouses. These vital teams were unable to work from home, so keeping them motivated and up to date with the latest safety information became critical.
Univar Solutions approached Conceptunet to deliver a new, easy to use digital Content Management System (CMS) that could instantly transmit information across Univar Solutions sites in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
The Solution
Using a cloud-based, digital CMS is a real game changer, particularly when it comes to improving communication and engagement with employees in a multi-national, multi-sited organisation during challenging times.
Conceptunet selected the SignStix cloud-based CMS and media players for deployment across Univar Solutions EMEA sites. The simple to use, pre-staged, media players just needed to be connected to the internet and screen for the content to appear automatically.

Using Low energy boxes connected to low power monitors to display key messages instead of printing posters resulted in the use of less energy, paper and ink.
